Catuano Beach, Saona Island: A Relaxing Stop on Your Private Caribbean Charter

Catuano Beach is located on Saona Island in the Dominican Republic and combines beautiful Caribbean scenery with the convenience of an equipped beach area.
White sand, palm trees, warm Caribbean water, a beachfront restaurant, and a pier make Catuano a comfortable place to spend part of your private day on Saona Island.

Swimming and Relaxing at Catuano Beach

Catuano has different sections of coastline, and it is helpful to understand the layout before your visit.
One part of the shoreline is rocky, with rocks and coral in and around the water. This is not the main swimming area.
The beach also has a sandy area where guests can comfortably enter the water and swim. You can enjoy the Caribbean Sea, relax under the palm trees, or take a walk along the coastline and enjoy the views of Saona Island.

What Is Available at Catuano Beach?

Catuano has several facilities that make it comfortable to spend time ashore.
There is a beachfront restaurant offering two lunch options. An open bar is included when lunch is ordered. Restrooms are also available.
Ordering lunch is not required to visit Catuano Beach. If you prefer not to have lunch, you can still spend time at the beach, swim, and walk along the coast. Beach loungers are also available for additional fee.
From time to time, local vendors may be present on the beach selling souvenirs and handmade items, giving you an opportunity to pick up something to remember your day on Saona Island.

Getting to Catuano Beach

Catuano has a pier, making access to the beach convenient during your private charter.
Catuano can be included as one of the stops on a full-day private Saona itinerary with no additional location fee.
Your yacht or catamaran is reserved exclusively for you and your party, so your experience is completely private.
A private yacht is a comfortable option for couples, families, and smaller groups. For larger families and groups of friends, a private catamaran provides more space to enjoy the day together.

Is There Sargassum at Catuano Beach?

From June through August, sargassum can appear at Catuano Beach.
Sargassum moves with ocean currents and winds, so conditions can change. We take this into consideration when helping you plan your trip.
If there is sargassum at Catuano during the period you are planning to visit, we can recommend another Caribbean destination, such as Palmilla Beach with its famous natural pool and starfish, or Catalina Island with beautiful clear water.

Catuano is a comfortable option for travelers who want to combine a private day on the Caribbean Sea with time on an equipped beach on Saona Island.
